Security
In the town of Palma find 13 swimming areas, of which 5 have a lifeguard service in summer.
This is our most popular beaches and therefore cataloging higher risk (according to Decree 2/2005 of 14 January, regulating the minimum safety and protection measures to be met beaches and bathing areas of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands).
According to this decree all beaches must have a certain flow of services that ensure a secure enjoyment of the beach.

In addition it has a tourist police service responsible for monitoring especially the coastal area, both day and night. This service, which ensure the enjoyment of beach users, will run from May to October.
